Dear Friends,

I hope you will join me for the return of a great, fun-filled tradition that we are bringing back this year -- with a twist. You may have helped me celebrate St. Patrick's Day in years past and, if you have, you know that with hundreds of friends, family, and supporters there with us, it is truly a fitting celebration of this great holiday.

Last week, our Democratic Party came together in Denver to make history and make Senator Barack Obama our nominee for President of the United States. And as we work tirelessly this fall to elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden to lead our nation forward, our work in Maryland continues as we work to expand opportunity for our children and our families, improve public education and public safety in every region of our state, and work to protect our natural resources and our environment.

As Governor, I am unable to raise funds during the Legislative Session, which includes the month of March. So, I hope you will join me for this "half-way to St. Patrick's Day" event on Sunday, September 14, 2008.

Our party will begin at 2:00 p.m. and go until 5:00 p.m., and we are even returning to the location of the original O'Malley St. Patrick's Day parties- Bourbon Street (formerly Hammerjack's) at 316 Guilford Avenue in Baltimore. Thanks, and I hope to see you on September 14th as we celebrate being Half-Way to St. Patrick's Day!
Sin
cerely,
Martin O'Malley
